A very rare Australian travel poster designed by famous Australian graphic artist James Northfield. Northfield illustrated many commercial and government advertisements, which depict Australian scenery, wildlife and daily life. This poster depicts the Cross at Mount Macedon.
Mount Macedon is a small town 64 kilometers north-west of Melbourne in the Australian state of Victoria. The town is located on below the mountain of the same name, Mount Macedon township was largely established by Melbourne's wealthy elite in the post gold rush era of the mid to late 19th century who used it as a summer retreat.
