This is a wonderful Norwegian travel poster designed by Finn Nielssen in 1941. The painting depicts a Norwegian summer theme. A typical Nieslssen painting often signed as "Fini". In this work he signed as Finn Nielssen. The artwork is signed 1941 but I guess it was published after the WWII. Finn Nielssen participated in the 1939 New York World's Fair and decorated the Norwegian pavilion in New York with a painting of Kristiansand Square.
Nielssen was behind the realization of the artist colony at Ekely in Oslo, a place that was Edvard Munch's former permanent residence until his death in 1944.
The poster is very rare! In excellent condition.
