The wonderful poster promotes a Norwegian book in 3 volumes originally written by C. S. Forester, John Armand.
In these novels depict Forrister one of world literature's great naval heroes - Commander Horatio Hornblower - that we follow through sea battles, imprisonment and triumph. At the same time portrayed his love affair with Lady Barbara Wellesley.
Forester wrote many novels. He is best known for the 12-book Horatio Hornblower series, depicting a Royal Navy officer during the Napoleonic wars. He began the series with Hornblower fairly high in rank in the first novel, published in 1937.
