A wonderful original vintage poster promoting Air Ceylon. Air Ceylon was established in 1947 as state-owned flag carrier airline. Flights to Sydney in a co-operation with ANA were started on 20 July 1950 via Singapore and Darwin.
The poster is a rendering by Don Angus depicting Anuradhapura. Anuradhapura one of the ancient capitals of Sri Lanka, famous for its well-preserved ruins of ancient Lankan civilization.
