Meteor Norway Fjords

This exceedingly rare original vintage poster showcases the S/S Meteor navigating one of Norway's majestic fjords. S/S Meteor, along with M/S Stella Polaris, epitomized Norway's maritime excellence during its golden age, offering cruises along Norway's coast and abroad.

Originally commissioned by the Hamburg-America Line (HAPAG), the Meteor embarked on its maiden voyage from Hamburg to Norway on June 3, 1904. In 1922, ownership of the Meteor transferred to Det Bergenske in Norway.

This particular poster predates any printed text that typically accompanies it. However, examples of printed text include details such as "Norway's Fjords: Also Capitals of the North," along with scheduling information for the Meteor's voyages from June to September under the B&N Line and Royal Mail Ltd.

Mounted on linen, the poster remains in remarkably good condition, with only minor restoration work to address a small repaired hole.
