At PosterTeam we're always looking for ways to make it easier to discover original vintage posters.
Our collection contains thousands of authentic travel, airline, railway, ski, shipping and advertising posters from around the world. While the traditional search works well when you know exactly what you're looking for, it isn't always easy to know which keywords to use.
That's why we've introduced AI Search (Beta).
Instead of relying only on exact keywords, you can simply describe what you're looking for in your own words.
For example:
- Swiss ski posters from the 1930s
- Norwegian travel posters
- Art Deco airline posters
- Posters designed by Otto Nielsen
- Vintage posters featuring steamships
The AI interprets your request and searches our database for the most relevant posters.
How it works
Unlike many AI tools, our AI Search doesn't search the internet and it doesn't generate content.
Instead, it acts as an intelligent assistant for PosterTeam's own collection.
When you enter a search, the AI analyses your request to identify the important topics, such as countries, destinations, artists, transport companies, themes, decades and poster categories.
It then converts your description into an optimized database query using PosterTeam's own search index. This allows the system to understand requests that would otherwise require several different keywords or combinations.
For example, a search for "Swiss ski posters from the 1930s" is automatically translated into a search that combines Switzerland, Ski and the 1930s. Likewise, a search for "Otto Nielsen airline posters" recognizes both the artist and the aviation theme.
The result is often a more accurate and natural way of finding posters than using traditional keyword searches alone.
Still in Beta
AI Search is a new feature and we're continuously improving it.
As more people use it, we'll refine how it understands different descriptions and make the results even better.
