Norge vinter after ski

This original vintage Norway travel poster from 1955 promotes Norway as a destination for winter holidays and skiing. The large color photograph captures a wonderfully relaxed après-ski scene, with a group of stylishly dressed skiers enjoying drinks and sunshine at an outdoor table against a spectacular snow-covered mountain landscape.

The photograph is a particularly evocative image of Norwegian winter tourism in the 1950s. Colorful shirts, sunglasses and casual ski clothing contrast beautifully with the brilliant white snow and deep blue sky, presenting Norway not only as a destination for skiing and outdoor adventure, but also for relaxation and social life in the mountains.

Issued by Landslaget for Reiselivet i Norge in cooperation with Norges Statsbaner (NSB), the poster was printed in Norway in 1955 by Offset A/S Grøndahl & Søn. The simple oversized "NORGE" lettering makes the image immediately recognizable as Norwegian tourism advertising.

A beautiful and highly decorative original vintage Norwegian ski and travel poster, capturing the stylish atmosphere of a sunny 1950s winter holiday in Norway.
