Description:

Kristiansands Dampskibsselskap (KDS) was a Norwegian shipping company that was sailing between Denmark-Norway, Norway-England.

MS Skagerak was built in 1939 by Ålborg Værft A/S, Ålborg, Denmark. The ship has short time span in traffic as a passanger carrier. MS Skagerak was requisitioned by Die Deutsche Kriegsmarine in 1940 and used as mine laying ship. It was torpedoed and sunk in 1944 outside Egersund, Norway.

This great poster by Gunnar Moum has elements of art deco style. A rare poster!

ca.1939
