A cool and rare Swiss travel poster promoting summer travels to Stoos. Stoos is located in the canton of Schwyz, in the heart of Central Switzerland, high above Lake Lucerne at 1,300 meters. The village itself is car-free and is accessible via the Stoosbahn funicular railway.
The young ladies are on the Stoos-Fronalp cable car built in 1947 to reach a higher peak in the area, the Fronalpstock.
You see the spectacular Stoosbahn funicular railway in the background. Europe’s steepest funicular railway is an adventure in itself.
A wonderful Swiss summer scene. The poster has some minor signs of wear.
