The Nordic Games was a predecessor to the Winter Olympic Games, tand organized by the Swedish officer, General Viktor Gustaf Balck (1844-1928; "the father of Swedish sport"). First held in 1901 and again in 1903 and 1905, then every four years until 1926. Among the activities represented were skiing, skating, yachting on ice, hockey, horseback riding and more.
The poster depicts a male ice-skating competitor in full speed.
Original Color lithograph. A very rare poster! This is from the 1922 Games.
Fair condition, tears and creases on margins, slightly trimmed at top and bottom.
