This wonderful original vintage poster celebrates Norddeutscher Lloyd 80 years anniversary being in business from 1857 - 1937. It developed into one of the most important German shipping companies of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The poster promotes the 3 ships SS Bremen, SS Europa and SS Columbus, traveling across the Atlantic between Germany (Bremen) and New York. Their speed accounts for the word "Express."
In good condition. Restored losses in margins, some into image; repaired tears, creases and overpainting in margins and image and along vertical and horizontal folds.
