Säntis-Bahn is a former private railway one that operated between 1912 and 1939. In 1939 the name changed to Appenzell-Weissbad-Wasserauen-Bahn and is now part of the Appenzeller Bahnen (AB).
The poster depicts a shepherd looking after his herd high up in the mountains. Two insets depicts a three-carriage train and the Hotel Weissbad.
According to the National Library in Switzerland, this poster was printed in 1912, the same year as the Säntis-Bahn opened. The original poster is gorgeous and in excellent condition. Very rare. A piece of Swiss railway history.
