This wonderful art deco design was created in the 1930's to promote travel to Mont-Genevre in the High Alps of France. Mont-Genevre is located near the Italian border and claims to be the first ski resort in France.
The designer, Paul Brusset was a French painter who studied at L'Ecole des Arts Appliques et des Arts Decoratifs in Paris. He had a successful career as a painter and later as a maker of ceramics.
The poser has been folded. It has some minor wear and discoloration along fold lines. Mounted on linen.
