This vibrant and charming original vintage poster was created in 1947 by French-Algerian graphic artist Guy Nouen. Commissioned by the Office Algérien d’Action Économique et Touristique, it promotes Algeria as a land of high-quality agricultural products with the slogan: "Algérie – Pays de la Qualité" (“Algeria – Land of Quality”).
Set against a bold blue background, the poster features a stylized white lamb (bearing a tag marked “OFALAC”), surrounded by lush depictions of grapes, wheat, citrus fruit, and dates—symbolizing Algeria’s rich agricultural bounty. Nouen’s signature appears at the top right corner, and the composition reflects his characteristic use of vivid color and dynamic arrangement.
In very good condition overall. Paper loss to the upper left corner and a tear at the top and right margin has been mended with paper. Would look stunning framed.
