According to the Swiss National Library, this original vintage poster was issued around 1960 to promote Geneva (Genebra) to Portuguese-speaking tourists, likely targeting the Brazilian market. Designed by the artist Deckert, it features a cheerful young woman smiling and shading her eyes as she looks out toward Lake Geneva. Behind her, the famous Jet d’Eau fountain rises prominently, with sailboats and the cityscape framed by the distant Alps. The bold colors, optimistic expression, and clean composition make this a charming and effective piece of mid-century travel advertising.
