Vevey Suisse Switzerland Schweiz

This original vintage Switzerland travel poster from 1958 was designed by Josep Artigas Ojeda (1919-1992). With its cheerful colors and playful modernist illustration, the poster presents Switzerland as a destination for holidays throughout the year.

The word "VEVEY" forms the central graphic element, with the large colored letters dividing a series of lively scenes. Winter is represented by skiers and a snowy landscape, while the warmer seasons show walking, flowers, lakeside relaxation, sailing and swimming. The smiling sun, mountains, lake and swan reinforce the light-hearted holiday atmosphere. At the bottom, "Suisse - Schweiz - Switzerland" promotes the destination to an international audience.
