Sandow Bicycle

Original Danish advertising poster from 1953, celebrating the 50th anniversary (1903–1953) of the Sandow bicycle brand, produced by Hede Nielsens Fabrikker A/S in Horsens, Denmark.

The poster features a lively, colorful illustration: on the left, a well-dressed gentleman in a light gray suit and top hat tips his hat while riding a bicycle; on the right, a young cyclist in casual modern clothes, red gloves, scarf, and a striped winter cap greets him. Behind them, the circular Sandow logo with the figure of a strongman radiates at the center, reinforcing the slogan “Den kæmpestærke Sandow” (“The mighty strong Sandow”).

The design blends tradition and modernity, underlining both the brand’s long history and its contemporary relevance in 1950s Denmark.

Condition: Almost good. Some age wear, roughness to the left margin. Paper loss. Would look nice framed.
