This is an authentic 1922 Swedish movie poster for Flickan från Fort Rupert, the Swedish release of the American silent adventure film The Girl from God’s Country (Paramount Pictures, 1921). Directed by Joseph Henaberry and based on the novel by Stewart Edward White, the story is set in the rugged northern wilderness and follows a courageous young woman who defies hardship and danger in pursuit of justice and love.
The poster features a bold and dramatic Art Deco–influenced design, with vibrant yellow and turquoise tones and striking black contrasts. A man with a revolver stands alert as a woman peers over his shoulder, evoking tension and mystery. The minimalist yet expressive artwork reflects the distinct graphic style of early 1920s Scandinavian cinema advertising.
Issued in Sweden by Film AB Liberty for Paramount Pictures, this is a rare surviving example from the silent film era, when American films were locally distributed with unique Nordic poster designs.
The poster is in very good condition, showing only light wear and minor handling signs consistent with age. The colors remain strong, and the paper well-preserved.
A striking and rare artifact of early film history, this poster would look stunning when framed, making it a superb addition to any collection of silent cinema memorabilia, Paramount history, or early 20th-century Swedish poster art.
