This rare Art Deco poster was issued by A.B. Aerotransport (ABA), Sweden's pioneering airline and predecessor of Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS). Produced in the early 1930s, it celebrates the rapid expansion of Scandinavian air travel, depicting a Junkers G 24 trimotor flying above a stylized map of Europe with routes radiating from Stockholm to major destinations including London, Paris, Berlin, Vienna, Warsaw, and Helsingfors (Helsinki).
The bold geometric design, limited color palette, and dynamic composition perfectly capture the optimism of early commercial aviation, when air travel represented speed, innovation, and international connection. Today, ABA posters rank among the most desirable examples of Scandinavian aviation graphics and are highly sought after by collectors.
Condition: Mounted on linen. Toning, tears, replaced paper, areas of discoloration and foxing, minute losses, and abrasions. Professionally conserved and presenting well.
