Description:

This original vintage Danish exhibition poster promotes the 50th Danish National Exhibition (Det 50. Danske Købestævne), held in Fredericia from 4–14 August 1960. The bold modernist design features three overlapping hearts containing symbols of Danish craftsmanship and industry—a hammer, a ceramic jug, and a cogwheel—beneath the slogan "Dansk Arbejde – Hjertet i Samfundet" ("Danish Work – The Heart of Society").

Founded in 1910, Det Danske Købestævne was Denmark's leading trade fair, bringing together buyers and exhibitors from across the country and attracting visitors from abroad. The 1960 exhibition marked its 50th anniversary and was the largest ever staged, showcasing everything from fine furniture and silverware to machinery and consumer goods. Organizers expected around 100,000 visitors, underlining the event's importance to Danish commerce and industry.

With its clean typography and vibrant geometric composition, this poster is an outstanding example of Scandinavian modernist graphic design from the 1960s.

Condition: Very good condition with light age wear.
