Finlande - Nouveau pays de Tourisme

This a very rare and original Finnish ocean liner poster depicting the Finnish F.Å.A. (Finska Ångfartygs Aktiebolaget) passenger ferry S/S Ariadne.

S/S Ariadne built in 1914 by Lindholmens Verkstad AB, Gothenburg, was put in traffic from Helsinki to Stockholm and Copenhagen in 1919 and later to Tallinn and Stetting in 1921.

Harry Hudson Rodmell was an English painter and Commercial artist, specializing in marine art. He studied at Hull School of Art. He has designed several ocean liner posters.

The poster is mounted on linen and has two large pieces of missing paper and several scratches and wear. If wanted the poster can be fully restored for a $1000 cost.
