Railroad Travel |
This is spectacular railroad poster probably depicting GDG-Expressen at the station. The train was originally delivered to BJ, and consisted of four wagons, while SJ's had three. The extra carriage in the BJ trains had a restaurant department.
The three private railways Bergslagsleden Railways (BJ), Gävle-Dala Railways (GD) and the Southern Railway Dalarne (SDJ) was joint as Trafikförvaltningen Göteborg-Dalarne-Gävle GDG.
GDG was active until 1947 when all the companies included in the GDG was bought by the state and incorporated into the SJ in 1948.
Wonderful colors! Signs of being rolled. Would look great framed.
