A spectacular original ABA poster probably depicting a Douglas DC-3 taking off at Bromma Airport. In 1937 ABA became the second European operator of the Douglas DC-3 after KLM. This opened opportunities to fly "longer flights" for example to Moscow. In 1939 ABA started to mark their aircraft with Swedish Air Lines.
ABA upgraded their aircarfts from the converted B-17 to the DC-4 just after the end of WWII.
ABA was established in 1924 under the name Aktiebolaget Aerotransport and later became a part of Scandinavian Airlines.
Nikolai Kowarsky designed two ABA posters. This one of them and it is extremely rare.
