A stunning Swedish travel poster in great condition designed to promote journeys on the famous Göta Canal. The Göta Canal is a Swedish canal constructed in the early 19th century and is "the most beautiful tourist route in Sweden" (Vackraste Turistled i Sverige). http://www.gotakanal.se/en/
Proessdorf was born in Leipzig and was educated in Düsseldorf. He moved to Sweden and Gothenburg. He worked for satirical magazines, such as "Söndags-Nisse” and Rattle. Images are often elegant and gives a good idea of style in clothes and furnishings. He also worked with graphics, painting and theater decoration.
