A stunning and very rare original vintage travel poster promoting Rhodesia as a travel destination with the slogan: Zimbabwe - The Riddle of Rhodesia? centuries have passed...
The Queen of Sheba hoovers wraith-like near Zimbabwe's tower. The ruins of Great Zimbabwe – the capital of the Queen of Sheba, according to an age-old legend – are a unique testimony to the Bantu civilization of the Shona between the 11th and 15th centuries.
The name "Zimbabwe" stems from a Shona term for Great Zimbabwe, an ancient ruined city in the country's south-east whose remains are now a protected site. It is recognised as a World Heritage site by UNESCO.
In very good condition. Repaired tears at top edge, into image. Small tears and losses in margins. Mounted on linen.
