This is a very rare original vintage airline poster published by Aero Ltd, designed by poster artist Jorma Suhonen, one of the most acclaimed Finnish commercial graphic designers of the 1930s.
Aero, which became Finnair in 1953, began its first scheduled flights in 1923. Between 1937 and 1947, the company operated two De Havilland 89 Dragon Rapides. Pictured is the Salama, which means "Flash" in Finnish.
Suhonen designed many posters for the company. This is the English version.
In good condition with some creases and wrinkles in images; water and tape stains at edges.
