A stunning original Italian vintage travel poster promoting the Palermo in Sicily as a travel destination. The poster depicts the Palermo Cathedral with some palm trees in the front.
Palermo Cathedral is the cathedral church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Palermo, located in Palermo, Sicily, southern Italy. It is dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. As an architectural complex, it is characterized by the presence of different styles, due to a long history of additions, alterations and restorations, the last of which occurred in the 18th century.
In the book «Travel Italia» by Lorenzo Ottaviani this poster is listed as published ca. 1928.
The condition is very good, there are only 3 very small, insignificant tears of approx. 1 cm each on the lower edge repaired by Japan paper.
