A stunning original vintage railroad poster designed by master poster designer Aage Rasmussen issued by DSB (The Danish State Railways) to promote the newly constructed Storstrøm Bridge. The Storstrøm Bridge was opened by King Christian X on 26 September 1937 connecting Sjaelland Island and Falster Island, with further ferry connection to Germany.
Iconic design in dark colors depicting the bridge with a steam locomotive passing. Another gem by Rasmussen that would become a conversation piece hanging on the wall.
The poster is in very good condition, mounted on thin Japanese paper. There are only small signs of use: a tear of approx. 3 cm on the lower edge and light age wear.
