A stunning original vintage poster promoting the 1921 Greenland Exhibition in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The poster is designed by Danish artist Harald Moltke (1871-1960). Harald Moltke studied art at Copenhagen’s Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts but found his artistic inspiration when he accompanied Danish expeditions to Greenland as a painter in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
A lovely rendering by Moltke depicting an Inuite in her native costume. Inuit are a group of culturally similar indigenous peoples inhabiting the Arctic regions of Greenland, Canada and Alaska.
An exciting and very rare vintage poster in very good condition.
