This a lovely original vintage ski poster issued to promote Garmisch-Partenkirchen as a winter destination. There are three ski mountains - the Hausberg, Kreuzeck and Alpspitze – joined together in the Garmisch-Classic ski resort. Garmisch-Partenkirchen is also well known for its ski jump and the renowned Four Hills Tournament.
The poster depicts a rabbit in his winter fur relaxing against a pair skis whit snow covered mountains in the background.
Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany’s best-known ski resort. In 1936 it was the site of the Winter Olympic Games. A variety of Ski World Cup Races are also held here, usually on the Kandahar Track outside town. The 1978 and 2011 Alpine World Ski Championships were organized in Garmisch.
In excellent condition. Would look great on the wall in a ski chalet.
