A lovely French railways poster designed by Roger Chapelain-Midy and issued by the French State Railways (SNCF) to promote train travel in France.
The poster depicts a rider in the Ile-de-France region. The natural heritage of the Ile-de-France region includes 50 state-owned forests, covering 75,000 hectares of land. Some sites feature on Unesco’s World Heritage List, like the Château de Fontainebleau.
Some wear and yellowing. Foxing at bottom.
