This is a great Irish airline poster by Piet Sluis promoting air travel to Rome with Aer Lingus. The Dutch artist Piet Sluis was born in 1929 and came to Ireland in the 1950s when he had a distinguished career as a graphic designer.
The poster depicts a young woman on a yellow background with a head scarf showing the flight route from Ireland to Belgium together with European travel attractions.
Aer Lingus is the flag carrier of Ireland. Founded by the Irish Government, it was privatised between 2006 and 2015 and it is now a wholly owned subsidiary of International Airlines Group.
