Introducing an exquisite and authentic vintage poster dating back to 1957, designed by the eminent poster designer Aage Rasmussen. The poster depicts Jens Olsen's World Clock, a magnificent astronomical clock located in Copenhagen, Denmark.
This exceptional clock, built by the Danish clockmaker Jens Olsen between 1943 and 1955, features 15 individual dials displaying various astronomical and chronological measurements, and was initiated by King Frederik IX on Thursday 15 December 1955 at precisely 3 pm.
The clock is widely renowned for its precision and complexity, showcasing the current time, positions of the stars and planets, solar and lunar eclipses, and other celestial events. It is also capable of presenting multiple time zones, including Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), and local times for several major cities around the world.
The clock can be found in the City Hall of Copenhagen and is open to the public for viewing, serving as a remarkable testament to the artistry and ingenuity of its creator, Jens Olsen.
The vintage poster is in excellent condition and has never been used, with only minor margin tears due to storage.
