This original vintage poster is a stunning piece of art created for Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) between 1965 and 1979. The poster captures the essence of the country's natural beauty and the joy of being on holiday. It features colorful and lively illustrations of people engaged in various sports and leisure activities, including sailing, fishing, horse riding, camping, and rock climbing. The images also showcase Rhodesia's magnificent landscapes, such as the Victoria Falls, the Zambezi river, the Great Zimbabwe ruins and rock formations, along with its diverse flora and fauna, including baobab trees, giraffes, lions, hippos, and many more.
Apart from the natural beauty, the poster also highlights Rhodesia's urban attractions, such as towns and a roulette table, as well as man-made landmarks like the Kariba water dam. At the bottom of the poster, there is a small but striking image of an elephant holding a banner flag with the words "Rhodesia is Super."
The poster is in good condition, although it does have some creases, stains, and small tears.
