This is a magnificent original vintage poster, created in the Art Deco style, to promote the entertainment venue at the Örebro Exhibition of 1928.
Designed by Georg Magnusson, a renowned Swedish theater decorator, poster artist, and painter, this poster reflects his artistic prowess. Magnusson's artistic journey included studies at "Tekniska Skolan," working with John Jon-And in Stockholm, and time spent in Paris from 1927 to 1928. He further honed his craft at the Royal Theater's decoration studio from 1928 to 1930.
The Örebro Exhibition of 1928, also known as the 1928 industrial exhibition and agricultural meeting in Örebro, took place in the Västra Mark area. It commenced on June 21 and concluded on July 29. The primary motive behind this event was the celebration of the Örebro housekeeping society's 125th anniversary, which coincided with the 80th anniversary of the Handicrafts Association. The exhibition aimed to showcase the city and county's offerings in the domains of industry, craft, and agriculture.
The amusement park within the exhibition gained such immense popularity that its operations were extended until August. During this period, the Örebro brothers experienced their inaugural rides on a roller coaster and a bumper car, among other attractions.
This poster is in superb condition, characterized by vibrant colors. It exhibits minor damage, with only a small portion of the bottom margin missing. A truly rare find! Love it!
