Introducing an exceptionally rare original vintage poster designed by Harald Damsleth in 1937, promoting Det Norske Luftfartselskap (DNL).
Established as Det Norske Luftfartselskap Fred. Olsen A/S in 1933, the company's origins trace back to Fred. Olsen & Co.'s acquisition of assets from a failed airline with the same name dating back to 1927.
The poster showcases a white Junkers Ju 52 aircraft against a blue backdrop, complemented by a map depicting northern Europe, outlining DNL's route along the Norwegian coast and connecting prominent cities like Newcastle, Oslo, Copenhagen, Stockholm, and Helsinki.
In overall very good condition, the poster exhibits age wear such as margin wear, scratches, dirt, and pinholes, bearing witness to its historical journey and serving as a captivating piece of aviation memorabilia from 1937.
