This vintage Swedish election poster from 1928 is a rare original, urging voters to support the "Arbetarpartiet" in the general election. The poster's message emphasizes that the key to genuine success in social reform lies in the "WORKERS' MAJORITY." The text encourages people to cast their votes with the "ARBEARPARTIET."
In the 1928 Swedish general election, the Swedish Social Democratic Party maintained its dominance as the largest party, securing 90 out of the 230 seats in the Andra kammaren of the Riksdag.
Dubbed the "Cossack Election," these elections gained notoriety for the intense and aggressive tone, with both sides employing harsh criticism. The poster, printed on delicate and thin paper, exhibits signs of aging, including wear, small margin tears, and dirt. Given these conditions, it is speculated that only a limited number of these posters have managed to endure over time.
