This vintage poster, titled "Braathens SAFE Passengers, Freight, Mail," is an authentic piece designed by Axel Andersen in 1947. Braathens South American & Far East Airtransport A/S, founded by Ludvig G. Braathen in 1946, marked a significant milestone in Norwegian aviation history.
The poster showcases two Braathens Douglas C-54 Skymaster aircraft positioned against a world route map. One of these aircraft is LN-HAV, known as the "Norse Explorer," which was delivered to Braathens in 1947. Beneath the world map, contrasting landscapes are depicted: a tropical scene with palm trees and a Nordic landscape with a Braathens ship visible at sea.
