Vinterspelen 1928 Sundsvall

This is an extremely rare and unseen authentic vintage poster promoting the 1928 "Vinterpelen" in Sundsvall, Sweden.

The poster features a beautiful rendering in shades of blue by Liss Sidén, depicting two male cross-country skiers racing in the mountains towards the finish line.

The 1929 Yearbook "På Skidor" mentions: "The organization of the competitions had been commissioned by the Swedish Skiing Association and the Association for the Promotion of Cross-Country in Sweden to the well-known Sundsvall clubs, 'Gymnastik- & Idrottsföreningen Sundsvall,' as well as the ski club 'Vidar,' whose leading men had previously demonstrated excellent organizational ability."

This rare gem has been archivally mounted on linen. It is in good condition, with minor wear and a small water stain, preserving the vibrant history and spirit of the 1928 winter games.
