This original vintage poster, issued in 1931, was designed to promote "Statens Premieobligationer" (State Premium Bonds). The poster prominently features The Three Crowns, or "Tre Kronor," a key emblem in Swedish heraldry symbolizing the Kingdom of Sweden.
A Swedish premium bond is a government bond that essentially allows purchasers to lend money to the treasury. Issued by the National Debt Office, these bonds do not pay interest directly to holders. Instead, interest is pooled, and winners are drawn from among the bondholders, offering a chance to win money with each draw.
1931. Utbyte och försäljning sker hos Riksgäldskontoret, Sveriges Riksbank, samtliga postanstalter, banker, mäklare och kommissionärer."
Although the poster shows signs of age, including crumples and tears, it remains a valuable historical artifact, representing the Premium Bonds draw of the early 1930s.
