This is an original vintage Swedish political poster created by Gustaf Helge Forsslund, a Swedish studio manager, draftsman, and painter. It was issued by "De Frisinnade" for the 1924 Swedish general election.
The illustration depicts two men representing the political parties "Högern" and "Social Demokraterna," pouring money from a sack labeled "Statens Finanser." The Swedish text reads: "Bort med slöseriet, såväl Högerns som Socialdemokraternas. Främja sparsamhetssträvandena genom att rösta med de Frisinnade," which translates to "Away with the wastefulness of both the Right and the Social Democrats. Promote thrift efforts by voting with the Liberal People's Party."
The Liberal People's Party, active from 1924 to 1935, was formed due to a split within the Liberal Coalition Party over alcohol prohibition. Those opposed to the ban established the Liberala parliamentary party.
The poster is in very good condition, with only minor signs of age-related wear.
