This is a wonderful original vintage movie poster for the 1958 Norwegian film *Bustenskjold*, starring renowned comedian Leif Juster. The film is based on the popular Norwegian comic strip by Jens von Bustenskjold, which was a humorous take on the life of a nobleman and ran in *Arbeidermagasinet* from 1934 to 1970.
Jens von Bustenskjold, created by Sigurd Lybeck, became a beloved literary figure in Norway, particularly known through the fictional peasant community of Oladalen. The character, originally inspired by a short story from magazine editor Nils Johan Rud, was further developed by Lybeck and reflects the author's own upbringing in Etnedal, Oppland.
The poster was designed by the famous Norwegian artist Niels Røhder, known for his work on numerous Norwegian film posters.
This piece is in excellent condition, preserving both the humor and cultural significance of this classic Norwegian film and comic strip.
