This is an original authentic 1930 Art Deco poster for the Tripoli International Fair, officially titled Institut Autonome de la Foire de Tripoli. The fair was held under the patronage of Benito Mussolini from February 20 to April 20, 1930.
The design features a bold geometric composition, characteristic of Futurist and Art Deco styles, with dynamic, radiating lines and flags of various nations symbolizing international participation. The fascio littorio, a symbol of Italian fascism, appears prominently on the green section of the poster, reflecting the colonial context of Italian Libya during that era.
The typography is striking, with the word "TRIPOLI" projected forward in a dramatic, three-dimensional effect. The color palette is rich and vibrant, with black, red, yellow, and blue creating a sense of movement and modernity.
The poster was printed by A. Marzi in Rome and is in very good condition. Fold marks. Mounted on linen for preservation. This is a rare and historically significant piece of interwar propaganda and exhibition advertising, appealing to collectors of vintage travel, political, and Art Deco posters.
