This is an original vintage French travel poster from 1932 promoting tourism to GAP in the Hautes-Alpes region of southeastern France. The poster features the slogan “Du Soleil Toute l’Année” (“Sun All Year Round”) and highlights the area's sunny climate and high-altitude location at 740 meters.
Designed by artist Gaston Gorde, this vibrant and stylized artwork captures the allure of the French Alps with its bold use of color and Art Deco composition. The image depicts a radiant sun shining over snow-capped mountains, emphasizing GAP as a destination for year-round outdoor enjoyment.
Published by PLM (Chemins de fer Paris–Lyon–Méditerranée), one of the major French railway companies of the early 20th century, the poster was part of a campaign to promote regional travel by train.
An excellent example of early 20th-century French travel advertising, this is an original lithograph in excellent condition.
