This original vintage travel poster designed by Gustav Jahn was issued to promote winter sports in Murau, a town located in the beautiful region of Styria, Austria. The poster features a stunning skiing scene of the time, depicted by artist Gustav Jahn (1879-1919).
Murau is accessible by the Mur valley railway, which was opened in 1894 and remains a popular tourist attraction to this day.
Gustav Jahn was an accomplished artist and athlete, known not only for his beautiful paintings but also for his prowess as a mountaineer, climber, ski jumper, and award-winning skier.
