This charming original travel poster, designed by Gitta Mallász, was issued by the Hungarian National Tourist Office to promote tourism to Hungary (Ungarn) in the 1930s. It depicts a stylized, smiling boy in traditional folk costume, rendered in warm, vibrant tones of orange, black, and turquoise. His cheerful posture and rustic attire, including embroidered jacket and red boots, convey the spirit of Hungarian folk culture with playful simplicity and charm.

Gitta Mallász was a celebrated Hungarian graphic artist best known not only for her bold design style but also for her later spiritual writings. This poster is one of her most recognized works and an iconic example of pre-WWII Eastern European graphic design.

Despite a large tear at the top and bottom (now linen-backed), the poster retains excellent color and visual impact. A delightful and collectible piece of interwar Central European poster art.
