Skiers are gathered outside a snow-covered mountain lodge enjoying the sunny Alpine weather. The colorful period ski clothing, traditional wooden skis and clear blue sky create a wonderfully lively image of Austrian skiing during the 1950s.

Located above the village of Mutters near Innsbruck, the Muttereralmbahn provided access to the mountain for skiing and winter recreation.
