This is an early original vintage poster issued by BOAC to promote air travel. Designed in 1947 by Henrion depicting a world map and the iconic BOAC Speedbird logotype.
The Speedbird is the stylised emblem of a bird in flight designed in 1932 by Theyre Lee-Elliott as the corporate logo for Imperial Airways. The term "Speedbird" is still the call sign for British Airways.
In good condition. Edge wear, tears, pinholes. Mounted on linen.
