Stunning! This is an exceptional and rare original vintage travel poster designed by Metlicovitz to promote journeys to Pula (at that time Italian and called Pola).
Pula is the largest city in Istria County, Croatia and, situated at the southern tip of the Istria peninsula. It is known for its multitude of ancient Roman buildings. After the First World War Istria fell under Italian rule and remained so until after the Second World War when it was ceded back to Croatia.
The poster depicts the famous Pula Arena, one of the best preserved Roman amphitheaters there is.
In excellent condition.
