This spectacular original Swiss travel poster was designed to promote tourism and the “Skikjöring” horse races in St. Mortitz in 1952. The poster depicts an action-packed scene with racehorses on the “White turf” surrounded by the snow-capped mountains of the Upper Engadine. Designed by Hugo Laubi.
White Turf horse racing (or Skikjöring) has been taken place on the frozen lake of St. Moritz for over a century. It is Switzerland’s most lucrative race where race-horse owners, trainers and jockeys from all over the world meet up to fight for the price money since 1907.
